Steve Isreael and Dems Hug Unions and Screw America

"Will you stand with President Obama in creating jobs?"

This is the question in a recent email from Steve Israel, Chairman of the DCCC. In the email was a very disturbing image. (And I don't just mean the image of standing with a President who really has no clue how to "create jobs" in America.)

"Dems 2012 . . . Union-Made in the USA!" Union-made??! Now if that does not confirm all I have been saying about how Democrats and liberals are in the pockets of unions, I don't know what is. This is so very scary a thought. Unions controlling our country.

Not to say that almost all politicians are in the pockets of special interest groups, but just imagine how scary a country controlled by unions would be. Gone wold be your ability to work for whoever you want, wherever you want to work without being beholden to some political, money greedy thugs. (Yes, my opinion of unions is very strong in the negative direction and I have experience to back up my great dislike. Maybe I'll detail it here some day . . . like a whole post dedicated because the tale is scary and bit long.)

Take the NLRB and unions attack of Boeing and South Carolina.

Sout Carolina is a right to work state. You can quit and/or they can fire you, without preamble. But companies are very employee-centric in states like this. Andwith SC's 10.5% unemployment rating, they need to attract business however they can, to get their citizens back to work. Boeing, seeing the huge potential of a dedicated workforce, a state willing to help them and none of the union BS they have to deal with in states like PA or WA. Employees wages can be geared toward the area economic situation and employees don't have to lose a chunk of their money to unions.

AND what unions wil not tell you is that states like this CAN have unions in them. But it is up to employees to both opt in to these unions and opt out if they don't like it. Becasue unions don't want workers to determine what is best for themselves.

And with all the protections under law in place, the usual reasons for unions are non-existent.

Union-made politicians. Man, if that don't give you nightmares, I don't know what will.

Now, onto President Obama creating jobs. He still does not know how to do it. He's never done it. And, by all indications, he never will. He is still blowing hot air about 'shovel-ready' jobs even though he admitted there are no such things. And construction jobs for specific projects in mind are not continuing jobs, they are temporary band-aies to get workers back to work. In this field only. For secretaries, bakers, doctors, and so many other professions that make up almost 80% of the workfroce, these types of jobs are not in the cards.

Mr. President, get outof the way, stop making stupid stump speeches and get with the program. Start talking to the industry leaders who WILL create jobs to find out how it is done. Stop stabbing the job creators in the back with your class warfare rhetoric. If you thought that everyone in America shuold give their fair share than do on of two things, or both, if you're courageous enough. Make EVRYONE pay taxes, not just the 'wealthy'. And / or make taxes simple. Do away with loopholes, make the tax rate a definative thing. 10% for everyone. No ifs, ands or buts. 10%. And everyone pays. Because right now you have 50% of America not paying ANY taxes. Where is your political stump speeches about how THESE citizens are not contributing? It is in the politically correct category of "don't upset the apple cart, don't make enemies of your constituent base, don't make it seem like you hate poor people." Instead just hate rich people, ignoring the fact that has been pointed out to you time and time again. It is the wealthy business owners who create jobs. Not the government, not the poor, not the lower income middle class.

I could go on, but I thnk I made my point. If not, comment and tell me what you think I am wrong about or what you think I missed. I won't mind. I won't get upset. I won't stop answering your questions (unlike some politicians who refuse to speak with media outlets or citizens who ask the tough questions). Because this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Unions to War, Obama proves clueless

President Obama is so very clueless on many things. Unions and war are just two.

UNIONS

Because of his union boss support (not necessarily union MEMBER support), Obama is looking at where the money is coming from instead of where America is going to find jobs. Instead of stepping in (because he doesn't want to), Obama is letting the NLRB run rough shod over state's rights and worker's rights. Unless something illegal is being done (and I don't mean some theoretical revenge fantasy), then the NLRB has no right to tell states how they can create jobs, they have no right to tell companies where they can and cannot build their business units, and they shure as heck don't have the right to play patsy with union bosses who only whine when something goes NOT their way.

Boeing is the visible example of Obama's cluelessness about business, and his money / political motivations. After Boeing began building a new (not a replacement) facility in South Carolina, the union was mum. When employees were hired and they were part of the union, the union stayed quiet. But as soon as the workers (who were in their rights by all national and state standards) decided and voted to get rid of the union )so they could just do their jobs and get paid without having to lose part of that pay to union dues and have to worry about some union thug telling them they had to strike or do whatever) did the union cry foul. Only when their funnel of money dried up did they whine to the NLRB that Boeing was "retaliating" against them due to a previous strike, by opening this new facility to South Carolina.

The question to ask is why wait until the workers decide to oust the union? Why wait until they are no longer getting money to file a complaint? And why does Obama not step in and tell these (UNELECTED and ONLY ANSWERABLE TO HIM) NLRB nutjobs to back off? Most of the answers are obviouos. The last answer is two fold.

Because Obama has no clue how business works and jobs are created (he still thinks HE creates actual jobs), and because he doesn't want to risk his re-election funding. (Which is ironic as he says he doesn't care if he only serves one term. LIAR!)

WAR

I don't think I really have to explain how clueless the President is when it comes to war. But I will elucidate a few points.

I would prefer our men and women are not fighting and dying in some foreign country. I would prefer that the underlying issue for politicians (not civilians or military - their bottom line is security of America and Americans) were not money and oil. I would prefer that radical nut jobs stick to killing each other and let the world alone. I would prefer many things. But the fact is, we are at war. And as such, we have a responsibility to our national security and the well being of those that fight for us and along side us. Among those responsibilities are not encouraging our enemy, not giving vital intelligence about the movement and intentions to our enemies, not making confusing statements to our military and allies, not denigrating our country nor allies nor military, and most assuredly not outlining what we are going to do next. War is fought to win. One side or the other wins and those who are dead, destroyed or affected - lose. It is that simple. If you do not win, you lose. If you do not intend to go for a win, you do not go to war. (And I am not just talking about the wars from the previous Administration - Libya is a war if we are attacking, destroying and killing people in another country.)

Which leaves the President clueless or delusional about war. In Afghanistan, we continue until we and the Afghans are safe. If that means until the enemy is completely destroyed or until the Afghans can handle it themselves. That is a win. Anything else is a loss. And a loss to these fanatical jackals would only encourage them. In Libya, either do the business or get off the pot. Because right now, it is a war. Just as the terrorist declared war on the USA, Obama and the allies declared war on the sitting government by their actions.

AMERICA IS SPECIAL

An email from the Human Events website quoted President Obama as saying "I believe in American Exceptionalism, just as I imagine that Greeks believe in Greek Exceptionalism and the British believe in British Exceptionalism."

The email went on to proclaim, "But as former Speaker of the House and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich points out, American Exceptionalism isn't about cheerleading for the home team. It's about recognizing and honoring the history-making, world-changing ideals that made America great — exceptionally great." However, I am reminded of a line from a popular movie a few years ago.

In The Incredibles, Helen (the mom) is telling Dash (the son) why he couldn't use his powers. He says that his dad says "our powers were nothing to be ashamed of, they make us special." To which his mom says "Everyone is special, Dash." Muttering under his breathe, Dash utters the phrase Obama seems to embrace. "Which is another way of saying no one is."

I understand there are things the President knows but the average citizen will never know. But there are so many things that no matter what the true situation is, no matter what secret special information that Obama knows, there are still so much that he is getting wrong . . . just from a common sense standpoint.

And this is where I have such an incredibly staggering frustration with not only the President, but also with the many politicians (who have other agendas) and the main stream media (who are so paranoid about losing access that they will subvert their very responsibility to keep it). When faced with a torrent of water coming at you, it just makes common sense to close the door, hold you breath and surface when it is safe. But to open the windows, turn on the faucets and yell real loud at the oncoming wave is just silly. And this is how Obama and his Administration approach every problem this country is facing.

Simply stated, in a word, clueless.

Agree with me, disagree with me, whisper to yourselves that somebody should call the men in the white suits (or black suits and glasses, whichever). It makes no difference to me. So long as I opened some eyes and get you to think for yourselves, I have done my job, done my best to contribute to the future of America. But heck, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Polls, Tolls and Touchdowns

A CNN poll asking the question, is Obama better than Bush? If you believe the rhetoric and the "it's Bush's fault" swift reply from the Obama Administration and liberals around the country, you would think the answer was pretty clear.

But not really. It might surprise some (but not too many) that the poll revealed that 47% think Obama is the better president, while Bush garnered a whooping 45%.

Obama's declining approval rating is not all unusual for a President. But his sharp drop from a year and a half ago highlights the deflating excitement of American's who had high expectations is deafening. As of 10/10/2010 Rasmussen shows Obama with a -13 rating (meaning 29% strongly Approve and 42% Strongly Disapprove). RealClear Politics poll of 9/28-10/10/2010 has the overall approval/disapproval favoring the later by a -3.1 rating (45.6% approve, 48.7% disapprove). And according to a new USA TODAY/Gallup poll, showed an overwhelming disapproval of how the President and Congress are running the country (I mistyped it at first and said "ruining"), with sixty percent saying the Federal government has too much power. And an asstonishing 50% believe that "(t)he federal government poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedom of ordinary citizens."

So why am I ranting about something that has become obviouos to all but the most oblivious of Americans? Two reasons.

The first being that the mainstream media is so comfortably among those who are oblivious. Although they have been more critical of late, they still refuse to cover the dissent among voters as nothing more than a few loud minorities and nothing of any serious consequence, allowing Nancy Pelosi and others to vent that these people are nuisances, un-American and everything from bigots to hate-mongers. I feel it is high time for the media to actually do its job as being the check on the government instead of being the TASS-like arm of the Administration's liberal agenda.

The second being the fact that despite his low approval and the aweakening of the public to the dangers his agenda pose, he still feels the right to keep meddling in places he does not belong. Who is he to determine pay scalle? Or even advocate it? WHo is he to say what the market should or should not do? Who is he to think he can step into a local dispute in Massachusetts, or disparage law enforcement for doing their job? Who is he to level charges against a group opposed to his agenda, let alone do so without any proof?

Obama is supposed to be the President of the United States of America. Yet he constantly shows weakenss in the face of our enemies. he constantly takes a back seat to everyone else in the world and proves his complete lack of real world experience as it relates to doing his job. The economy. The unemployment issue. National Security. Illegal imigration. Environmental issues. Intereference in States doing their own internal business. One after another, he is failing miserably. One after the other he is looking to other world leaders for his course. We should have socialized medicine like (fill in the blank). We should apologize for our emissions to (fill in the blank).

Enough is enough and it is high time the President realizes he has lost his charm. It is high time he realized the honeymoon is over with the American people. And in November, the people WILL speak. And it will be a much more representative body he must deal with come January 2011.

Speaking of coming to terms with the reality of the situation, I am forced to speak to two college programs and their fans.

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide lost to #19 South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. It was a harsh and brutal game that was played before the packed William-Brice Stadium and the world at large on CBS television.

To Alabama and its supporters, I simply remind them that 1) this is the SEC and everyone knows it is hard to predict what will happen. And 2) the Tide did not play their best game. Perhpas it was the exhaustion of coming off three strong games against a team that had a bye week to rest up. Perhaps it was the overwhelming crowd they played before (I was there and it was indeed crazy). No matter, you still have a strong team, program, coach and leader in McElroy. Move on and keep strong.

To the South Carolina Gamecocks and their fans. Yes, celebrate. you played well and supported strongly. You werr hungry and it showed. You have every right and reason to celebrate your win over the best team in college ball. But don't get (if you'll pardon the intended pun) cocky. You still have a season ahead. If you want to stay in the top 10 and work toward a respectable Bowl game, you need to shake off the celebrations and get back to work, remembering that Saturday is history and you have many teams to go against that are now out to gun for you.

Thats all I have to say and you can agree or disagree with me over anything I've said here. But remember, it doesn't matter. So long as I got you to stop listening to the extremists and start thinking for yourselves, I've done my job. But hey, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.
