Take that, Mister President

BAM! Mr. President! WE built this stuff. And most times had to struggle through tons of red tape to do it. But,a s the video shows, Americans build things. And its the tax dollars form what WE build that pays for the salaries AND RETIREMENT PAY of all those lame, do-nothing politicians. Including YOU, Mr. President! What the hell did YOU build?!

"So," you may ask, "what got you riled this time?"

Not riled up, JAZZED!

Bristol Palin asked for and received photos of things and businesses Americans built. Without government help. In fact, many times with government interference.

What she received was an incredible trove. She made a video with just a sample of what was sent. It is inspiring. AND its an "in-your-face-Mr-President" moment.

AS you can see, I am still annoyed at the arrogance and ignorance of such basic truths about America that President Obama just doesn't appear to get. I outlined in a recent blog post all the problems with that particular speech. But this one thing still gets me peeved because Obama is so completely oblivious to it. He doesn't even get what he said was wrong. And neither do his blind supporters.

I understand people who are passionate about their choices in political office. Really, I do. But to so BLINDLY follow everything they say and be a complete air-headed cheerleader for them is just so beyond me.

Thats my biggest problem with the people I like to term Obama-nites. They're SHEEP, plain and simple. Mindless, drones who re-spout the party line without any thought of their own rattling around in their head. If they actually knew what the hell they were spouting and did it anyway, I could respect that. America is made up of diversity, including of opinion. But if these echo machines of the liberal party stopped and said "oh wait, thats not right", I would respect them more. But they don't. They blindly follow whatever SPIN is sent their way. They do not question what the "great one" says or his SPIN-masters pass along.

Here is a fact. Government is supposed to provide an environment for businesses and people to succeed. AN ENVIRONMENT! Not the give away whole freaking she-bang! Government is not supposed to be a cradle-to-grave hand out system. James Madison argued that government would NEVER become this way because the people would not allow their liberties to be usurped (Federalist No. 46).

Guess he was wrong. Because we are creating and evolving a nation of SHEEP. A nation where they think the government will solve all their problems. A nation of CHILDREN. Children who not only can't think for themselves, but who can't do for themselves either.

No wonder the President thinks the government did and does all these things. He never ran a business. Never had to build anything. And he was given everything . . . including the Presidency. In 2004 he was a nobody junior Senator from Illinois. Someone gave him the speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. From there he just kept campaigning and was given all the resources that kept getting him elected and running again. From state Senator to US Senator to President in just six short years. Who does that? Nobody . . . . without help from a machine.

So of course HE thinks government does everything for you. He's never had to do for himself. But his followers are out here in the real world. And they still don't get it either.

Well, I am just going on. I'll stop my rant and just remind you all that whether you agree or not, I just want it to be YOU who is agreeing or disagreeing. I would prefer you think for yourself and STOP BEING SHEEP. I would hope to help you AVOID THE SPIN. And really, don't even take my word as gospel (not that anyone does), look at everything going on and decide for yourself how you feel about it. But heck, either way, this is just me - as usual - Thinking Out Loud.

Money more important than deeds?!

Okay, I am calling out the President, Romney, the GOP, the Democrats, and all the money people out there who are so keen and intent on "buying" the Presidency.

You have all got it so wrong! Its not the money, STUPIDS! Its the deeds!

Obama spent 18 minutes complaining to donors the other day that he will be the "first sitting President to be outspent on his re-election campaign" in modern history.

What!?!? WTF, even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You all really have your priorities screwed up. And the mainstream media is not helping by pushing these stories and not telling the people the records. Its not money, you frigging dunderheads! It is what you have done, what you have plans on doing and howw that sits with us, the Americans who would put you in office.

Negative campaigns, big dollar fundraisers, PACS, SuperPACS, "outside alllies"!

You JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!!

But what the hell am I saying?! The dolts out there who listen to your BS and spread it around like fertilizer on the farms are just as bad. They actually listen to your whining and complaining and stupid arrogant platitudes.

I am so very fed up with the lot of you.

People are starving in America. That's right. Starving. If you put even a FRACTION of all that money you waste on these stupid things, America would be better off. Whole families rely on food pantries to feed their children. Food pantries! Its unthinkable that in today's America there would even be a need for a food pantry. And you whine about being outspent. Where the hell is your humanity? You patriotism? Your sense of service to the people. Outspent. Jeez! What a little baby you are. Not a man at all. And certainly not a true President of the United States.

People are being forced out of their homes at alarming rates. Foreclosures by banks YOU support and BEG for their campaign dollars. Oh wait, thats right. you expect the people who don't have homes to live in, money for gas and food to put on their table to give YOU money so YOU can keep being President. Or in Romney's case, want to be President. You guys aren't leaders in any sense of the word.

Americans are losing their jobs left and right. SPIN all the numbers you want. It ain't playing at this theater. Just go out onto the streets and ask a random person if they are jobless or know someone who is jobless. I will bet you a doughnut that you will get an affirmative answer every time. And that is not just sad, but it is pathetic. You think you are fit to lead this country? You don't even know what this country is going through. You don't know the struggles faced by AVERAGE Americans, the ones YOU want to donate to YOUR campaign.

In 2008, you all spent a total of over $50 BILLION dollars for the election. DO you know how much that $50 BILLION could have helped average Americans?? Of course not. Its not real money to you. Its not even YOUR MONEY!!!!!! You frighten it out of little old ladies. You cajole it out of people just trying to survive. You trick it out of people who might want just a small piece of history (dinner or lunch with a President or wannabe) so they can find some sense to go on in the misery YOU ALL have created.

Leaders? I think not! You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your priorities are ALL screwed up! Shame on you, Mr. President for your whining! Shame on you, Gov. Romney for your fear mongering! Shame on all the SPIN doctors and politicians and political parties and special interest groups and millionaire king maker wannabes! You have no clue what AMerica is, what America needs and who Americans are.

You only see dollar signs and power.

The lot of you should be thrown to the streets.

Agree or disagree, I don't care. If you can't see these people for what they are then shame on you, too. But what the hell, like you even listen to anyone else anyway. If they are not a celebrity or a big name politician or a person with huge chunks of money, you can't even believe they are someone worth listen to. But if you do listen, just for a brief second and see that they are all screwed up. Maybe you will be able to break out of the cocoon of SPIN and think for yourself. Thats all i can hope for. Disability quotas? Really? Like they've worked before, right?

You know, I always thought it would be a BAD idea to let potential employers know that I had a disability. (Damaged knee from last job, can't drive an 18-wheeler anymore.) I carefully avoided saying " let go due to injury or disability" to anyone during a job interview. I figured it would be a death kneel for any job future.

But lo and behold, not only did I STILL not get a job (have been a writer for almost 2 years now full time because I haven't been able to get a traditional, benefits included (insurance, vacations, etc), but NOW I find out that companies who want to get / keep nice lucrative Federal contracts will NEED to hire people like me. That is, people who are disabled but still able to work in most situations.

What am I talking about? The NEW quota the Feds just placed on anyone with or wanting a Federal contract. Read it here.

Don't they realize that not only do quotas never work out, but those "disabled" people who have been avoiding that label like the plague will STILL not be hired? Just say the word "disability" to an employer and they shrink in their seats, squirm because they feel guilty that they are NOT going to hire you, and scratch your name off the potential list and move it to the "only if I am desperate" list.

Once more, the "good idea / bad idea" people in DC, the do-gooders who really do no good, are going to tout how much they are doing and not really helping anyone.

When will Americans completely WAKE UP and stop sending these clowns in who only muck things up further?! I wish I had the funds to really get the word out that Americans need to STOP BEING SHEEP and AVOID THE SPIN that all these nincompoops spew out there!

Keystone XL asks "Who is in charge?"

Keystone XL Pipeline would bring over a million barrels of crude a day to the U.S. - nearly tripling the current supply from Canada – and almost 400,000 jobs.

The government under President Obama has said there are “issues” that must be resolved. Excpet his own agencies have given the okay for the pipeline deal, said there was no environmental impact and found the jobs growth acceptable. But the President and his Administration apparently has not read those reports.

So why the delay? Is it because the pipeline is an unknown quantity? Phase I was completed in 2010 and Phase II in 2011. Bringing over 500,000 barrels a day. It is in operation now. The barrels of crude and jobs the XL deal would bring are ADDITIONAL to existing ones. So it is not an unknown quantity.

Are there environmental issues that would bring unknown dangers? The State Department says there would be no significant environmental risks. So that one is off the table.

Or is it? The State Department, on January 18, 2012, sent a letter advising the President to deny the permits to build. Why? They stated issues with the Sand hills portion of the pipeline. This, however, is in contradiction to their analysis (“EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Final Environmental Impact Statement
for the Proposed Keystone XL Project”). On page 13, the Department of State determined that any spill would be minimal, not affect more than a localized area and Keystone agreed to all the clean-up and financial impact to residents if one did occur.

One must wonder who is running the show in Washington these days. If the Department of State can reverse their decision, and advise the President to deny a permit that would help us toward less dependency on Middle Eastern oil AND bring 400,000 jobs to a desperate economy, who is in charge? Surely not the President. He is letting the DoS tell him what to do without question. And certainly not the Department of State, as they are reversing their own decision. So who is telling them to do it?

This is, as many would argue, a very complex issue. And should not be dealt with lightly. And I would absolutely agree.

However, it is an issue that has been kin the works since 2008. that is nearly FOUR years of determinations and analysis and surveys and legislative issues and God only knows what else. (Trade discussions, market research, et al) And it boils down to the Department of State issuing a decision in opposition to their own studies. And a President that doesn't even know what is what and allows a department within his own government to tell him what to do – which he does, without question – on a decision that will impact our country, our economy and our security.

Something is just not kosher with this set up.

Meanwhile, American suffer. Tyrants and madmen dictate our security. And Congress argues about whether it is right or not for them to use insider information to get richer. And politicians argue who has better family values, who has the neatest hair and who is more politically sensitive than who.

For crying out loud!

All these putzes have to go. We need leadership that thinks of America first. And yes, I mean the people in the Supreme Court – Justice Ginsberg, you heard me – too. We also need all you morons out there – who continue to just regurgitate the rhetoric fed to your by people who really could care less about you in order to get themselves more money, more power and power influence – off the voter registration rolls. I know I have been an advocate of everyone deserving the right to vote. But remember, I have also always said it and Uncle Ben told Peter, “with great power [the right to vote] comes great responsibility [the effort to understand what you are voting for].”

Agree or disagree, I don't care. Just think about it before you agree or disagree. Know what it is you are agreeing or disagreeing with me about. STOP BEING SHEEP! AVOIOD THE SPIN! The President shows America the middle finger

The President of the United States just flipped us all off. In a time where jobs are needed, desparately, by many Americans, the President used a sneaky, underhanded ploy to get what he wants. He appointed three people to the NLRB that are so anti-business, so anti-American, so anti-jobs that their liberal agenda will stifle any growth possibility for the coming future.

And he has shown his true colors. He is anti-people. This move, however politically motivated or astute, is by far the most ludicrous action by a President who says he lsitens to the people and who says he cares about the peiople and who says he is pro-jobs - jobs are his number one concern.

But as he has lied to the American public in the past, he is lying to us again. And this time he is sending that middle finger loud and clear. All he cares about is protecting his own job. He wants to pander to as many groups as he possibly can, using his social agenda of spreading the wealth (among his labor cronies) and fair share (for his buds in DC and in liberal bastions everywhere) of things they never worked for.

He has appointed these union-friendly thugs to make sure his National Labor Relations Board,, which has proven itself in the Boeing case to be MEGA anti-business (which means anti-job), as the enforcement arm of power mad and money hungry union officials. The same union officials who want to do away with Americans rights to choose, in private, whether they want to be in a union or not.

These unions are anti-American. The NLRB is anti-American. And the President has just proven, once more, that HE IS ANTI-AMERICAN.

(I only say all this because unions don't care about jobs unless they are getting a cut from them. And with their union-friendly White House comrades, they can get things done to whittle the rights of the American worker, because it suits them.)

How much longer are Americans going to sit idly by while they are being insulted by their leaders? How much longer are we going to sit here, jobless, hungry, struggling, while this President sits down to fancy dinners with his "supporters" and, like a dictator of old, proclaims not only does he know what's best for you but he is going to do whatever he wants so his pals can get whatever they want . . . all the while screwing the people.

If he really cared, he wold not have made these controversial appointments, basically behind our backs. He would have waited and argued out the process of appointments. But since he knew we didn't want them, because he knew they were a sleazy deal, he did them when he would face no opposition. (And by the way, Congress may have been on recess, but the members of Congress have been holding meetings practically every few days. So it may have been "recess" but it was a working one.)

And in the background, while everyone is focused on recess appointments and GOP battles and claims of racism by America's top cop, they are slowly eroding even more of our rights. They want to "protect" intellectual property rights by giving themselves the power to arbitrarily shut down sections of the internet. (See SOPA and PIPA, which are - as usual with government legislation - not a bad idea but the wording goes BEYOND helping and delves dangerously toward censorship and not unlike what the Hitlers and Mussolinis of history did. The only people who are for it, are afraid of reprisals from the likes of that sleazy AG, Eric Holder.)

Obama and his ilk know nothing of Freedom, except when it refers to them having the freedom to strip away ours. They know nothing of jobs, except to figure out how to get power and money from those who want to control them. They know nothing about rights, except as a cause to hate.

I know I am coming on pretty strong here, but the rest of the media is not going to say anything about it. I know I am coming across as harsh, but it is the DUTY of a free press to stand as the fourth estate over government, to be the people's eyes and ears and express the people's outrage at corruption and injustices perpetrated by a government who's professed role is to govern the people by the WILL of the people.

So agree with me or disagree with me, it really doesn't matter. So long as you look at what I offer up with a reasoning mind and come to your own conclusions. Don't allow them to dictate to you what they are doing is right. Look at it and see the truth, determine the reality, avoid the SPIN. Stop being sheep. Yaeh, Liberals and Conservatives can work together - but not in DC

Its the air. Its the water. Its the long term exposure to the fumes that encircle the capital on a daily basis. Whatever the reason, it is evident that those in Washington, DC do not know the meaning of working together for the best interest of America.

And I don't mean on some ideological basis. I mean working on getting people back to work, companies back on track and the pride of a nation back to being what it was and always should be.

I am so sick and tired of a president who doesn't know that he doesn't know. I am sick and tired of a Congress who is more intent on weinning the next election than winning the war on unemployment. I am sick and tired of all the sicophants from all political parties who would cut off the noses to spite their big toe. Yes, not only doesn't that make sense but one has ntohing to do with the other. Exactly.

I am not feeling very charitable right now (as I am among the - mostly - unemployed), and I will lambaste ANYONE who gets in the way of my soapbox.

Boehner, Reid, Obama, Romney, Eric Erikson, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Sean hannity, Obermann, all of y'all can just stick a fistfull of dirt if you are not willing to do your jobs, to do your best, to get America on TRACK. Not a liberal track, not a conservative track, not a track that roams the landscape of the upcoming election or the "winning" of some philosophical issue.

Philosophical issues do not hold fmailies together. Political chest thumping does not put food on the tabel. Nor does it keep gas in the car. And it sure don't make people happy with their lot in life if that lot includes beating the pavement for the fiftieth week in a row without getting so much as a nibble.

Obama. Mr President. Listen close. America is not your personal experimenting ground. Do your experimenting during better times. Or better yet, as you sit in retirement and write your memoirs. This is not the time for you to be whining about how no one is willing to work together out of one side of your mouth while you stump and browbeat and make snippy remarks about your "opponents" in DC and beyond. You should be worrying about how much you don't know about business and economics. You should be looking at all those stupid lousy decisions to squander your opportunities to have been a pretty decent President by getting America and Americans back on track.

Congress. It is really pissing me off how you are so small and self centered that all you care about is "the next election." ~ "We're gonna win the White House!" ~ "We've got to stop their take over attempts!" ~ "The other guys are screwing America!"

Guess what, you petty little tweeps, YOU are screwing America.

How about this. How about we (the American voting population) tell you that we are not going to vote for ANY of you, not matter what your party affiliation, next election?! How about we let you know that you will not have a job after next election cycle?! At least not one paid by us. THEN will you stop bickering and get down to doing the job we put you in there in the first place for? Will you start getting the bills together that make sense? Will you stop STOPPING the next opposite party legislation and clean it up to mkake it workable?

I want to work. I am willing to do most any job. (I really have a problem with shoveling slop for 8 hours a day. Not because "its beneath me," but because i would be throwing up for nine hours a day. You have to know your limitations.) But you are making it so businesses don't know what you're doing next. They can't plan on hiring. They can't plan on expanding. They can't start up those new businesses. Because you are making the next month, let alone the next year or next five (which is the minimum they plan for as a rule), uncertain. They don't know what the hell you guys are going to do next. What bill you are going to put up, shoot down, villify or praise.

Stop it. Stop it now. Tell us if us promising NOT to elect you will get you serious about doing your job.

If a worker in America did the lousy job y'all do, we'd be fired in a heart beat. THINK ABOUT IT!

Agree with me or not, I just don't give a rat's behind. Think for yourselves. Look at all the things this President, this Congress, these media types, those potential candidates . . . look at what they are doing and NOT doing. And THINK FOR YORSELVES! But hey, this is just me, fuming, and Thinking Out Loud.

Steve Isreael and Dems Hug Unions and Screw America

"Will you stand with President Obama in creating jobs?"

This is the question in a recent email from Steve Israel, Chairman of the DCCC. In the email was a very disturbing image. (And I don't just mean the image of standing with a President who really has no clue how to "create jobs" in America.)

"Dems 2012 . . . Union-Made in the USA!" Union-made??! Now if that does not confirm all I have been saying about how Democrats and liberals are in the pockets of unions, I don't know what is. This is so very scary a thought. Unions controlling our country.

Not to say that almost all politicians are in the pockets of special interest groups, but just imagine how scary a country controlled by unions would be. Gone wold be your ability to work for whoever you want, wherever you want to work without being beholden to some political, money greedy thugs. (Yes, my opinion of unions is very strong in the negative direction and I have experience to back up my great dislike. Maybe I'll detail it here some day . . . like a whole post dedicated because the tale is scary and bit long.)

Take the NLRB and unions attack of Boeing and South Carolina.

Sout Carolina is a right to work state. You can quit and/or they can fire you, without preamble. But companies are very employee-centric in states like this. Andwith SC's 10.5% unemployment rating, they need to attract business however they can, to get their citizens back to work. Boeing, seeing the huge potential of a dedicated workforce, a state willing to help them and none of the union BS they have to deal with in states like PA or WA. Employees wages can be geared toward the area economic situation and employees don't have to lose a chunk of their money to unions.

AND what unions wil not tell you is that states like this CAN have unions in them. But it is up to employees to both opt in to these unions and opt out if they don't like it. Becasue unions don't want workers to determine what is best for themselves.

And with all the protections under law in place, the usual reasons for unions are non-existent.

Union-made politicians. Man, if that don't give you nightmares, I don't know what will.

Now, onto President Obama creating jobs. He still does not know how to do it. He's never done it. And, by all indications, he never will. He is still blowing hot air about 'shovel-ready' jobs even though he admitted there are no such things. And construction jobs for specific projects in mind are not continuing jobs, they are temporary band-aies to get workers back to work. In this field only. For secretaries, bakers, doctors, and so many other professions that make up almost 80% of the workfroce, these types of jobs are not in the cards.

Mr. President, get outof the way, stop making stupid stump speeches and get with the program. Start talking to the industry leaders who WILL create jobs to find out how it is done. Stop stabbing the job creators in the back with your class warfare rhetoric. If you thought that everyone in America shuold give their fair share than do on of two things, or both, if you're courageous enough. Make EVRYONE pay taxes, not just the 'wealthy'. And / or make taxes simple. Do away with loopholes, make the tax rate a definative thing. 10% for everyone. No ifs, ands or buts. 10%. And everyone pays. Because right now you have 50% of America not paying ANY taxes. Where is your political stump speeches about how THESE citizens are not contributing? It is in the politically correct category of "don't upset the apple cart, don't make enemies of your constituent base, don't make it seem like you hate poor people." Instead just hate rich people, ignoring the fact that has been pointed out to you time and time again. It is the wealthy business owners who create jobs. Not the government, not the poor, not the lower income middle class.

I could go on, but I thnk I made my point. If not, comment and tell me what you think I am wrong about or what you think I missed. I won't mind. I won't get upset. I won't stop answering your questions (unlike some politicians who refuse to speak with media outlets or citizens who ask the tough questions). Because this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Jobs, yes . . but is that all he should say??

President Barack Obama addressed a joint session of Congress about his jobs plan.

The question whether he should have addressed this to a full Congressional session and have it televised as such to the American public is moot. The ready answer is no. It was political showboating and a manuever to win an election. And even though he spoke of not doing such a thing, this only made his stand weaker. But it is neither here nor there at this point. It is what it is. It happened. Get past it.

The plan he put forward had both conservative and liberal elements. Can we say MIDDLE OF THE ROAD POLITICS? Yes we can! Was this speech intended to boost his declining poll ratings? Yes it was! Does that change that part of what he spoke was true? Hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Obama looked Presidential . . . for most of the speech anyway. Had he steered clear of his union endorsement, his social agenda crap and his small jabs at his opponents, he might have actually impressed me more as a president worth more of a historical sidebar than he was the first black president. But he could not help himself.

To the plan itself, it has some merits and should certainly be examined and tuned by the legislators whose job it is to legislate. But it should not, nor should any legislation aside from a national declaration of emergency or war, be "passed right away." The American people, for whom the President said this was all about, should have a chance to look at it. The legislators, on whose shoulders the responsibility to rectifying small gaps in knowledge and making sure it does not "cost" the people in the long run falls, should take time to look at it. (Not a session or a month or several weeks - it should never take THAT long to look.)

But to "pass it right away," to "pass it immediately," without the due consideration a hefty and ambitious plan such as this is deserves, would be as big an injustice as much of the recent legislation that has passed "so we can know what is in it." The President may have looked mostly Presidential, but that doesn't equate to dictatorship. And we should never allow it. Follow our leadership when it deserves it, question our leadership all the time. It is the only way to keep the powermad illness that can overtake even the most public service person. They are, after all, only human.

I hope the President much success (hey, I've been out of work at a day job since 11/09), as it means success for the American people, the nation and the continued existence of the institution of a free and democratic society. But there are two things that I know.

One appearance of leadership among all the political bickering and silent sideline stances this president has shown in the past two and a half years can not make up for it. I look forward to his one term presidency ending in 2012.

And secondly, his lack of decorum for the obvious political posturing this speech presented despite his condemnation of such actions is tacky to say the least. He should have left all that out. He should have left all the union boosting out. He should have addressed both the beltway political gamesmanship as well as the outside the beltway political gamesmanship. He mentioned the lobbyist for the corporation but failed to scold the union comments by the likes of Jimmy Hoffa (who really should take an extended expedition to join, er find, his father).

His failure to address this and actually include his pro-union ties in his speech took so much credibility away from his claims of clearing away the politics of DC in favor of the job they were sent there to do.

Were I to give this speech a grade (which seems so en vogue these days to giver politicians "report cards"), I would give it a B+ for the ideas and effort. I would give it a C- for credibility. And I would give it an F for avoidance of biased political rhetoric.

Agree with me, disagree with me, it really doesn't matter to me. So long as I can get you to see past the pretty rpose and double meaning hidden in every political speech adn think for yourselves beyond the borders of political parties and ideology, than I have accomplished my goal. Because hey, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.
