Disability quotas? Really? Like they've worked before, right?

You know, I always thought it would be a BAD idea to let potential employers know that I had a disability. (Damaged knee from last job, can't drive an 18-wheeler anymore.) I carefully avoided saying " let go due to injury or disability" to anyone during a job interview. I figured it would be a death kneel for any job future.

But lo and behold, not only did I STILL not get a job (have been a writer for almost 2 years now full time because I haven't been able to get a traditional, benefits included (insurance, vacations, etc), but NOW I find out that companies who want to get / keep nice lucrative Federal contracts will NEED to hire people like me. That is, people who are disabled but still able to work in most situations.

What am I talking about? The NEW quota the Feds just placed on anyone with or wanting a Federal contract. Read it here.

Don't they realize that not only do quotas never work out, but those "disabled" people who have been avoiding that label like the plague will STILL not be hired? Just say the word "disability" to an employer and they shrink in their seats, squirm because they feel guilty that they are NOT going to hire you, and scratch your name off the potential list and move it to the "only if I am desperate" list.

Once more, the "good idea / bad idea" people in DC, the do-gooders who really do no good, are going to tout how much they are doing and not really helping anyone.

When will Americans completely WAKE UP and stop sending these clowns in who only muck things up further?! I wish I had the funds to really get the word out that Americans need to STOP BEING SHEEP and AVOID THE SPIN that all these nincompoops spew out there!

Okay, I'm getting riled here, so I better stop before I get those nutjobs in Washington to censoring me with their internet crap of shutting down websites who don't agr. . . -. - - 0i-9 87 87968 9v 7 8ds7 4 875687^*)&^)^ )&^%R(T *ATABN QDSJM

Just kidding folks. Those back room dealers have better things to do that read a blog by yours truly.

Anyway, agree with me or not, it only matters to me that you get to using that gray matter between your ears and start thinking for yourselves. Because this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

The audacity of politicians!

Just because the Democrats can't build a big enough backbone to upset the apple cart and send a nominee against Obama in the Primary, doesn't mean they can assume (you know what they say about that) to deny the voters their choice. Its like they discount voters (which they have done ever since "O" was elected where they said he had a mandate (49% to 51% is NOT a mandate by any stretch of the imagination, Mr. President). Now they are denting the chance for those in states who haven't voted yet to make their choices known.

From the Democrat machine: "Since Rick Santorum dropped out yesterday, the Obama-Romney general election has fully engaged.

Just hours after Santorum’s announcement, Karl Rove teamed up with the Koch Brothers to launch a $1.7 million SuperPAC ad buy attacking President Obama in key battleground states.

There’s too much at stake to fall behind Romney, Rove, and the Koch Brothers."

I know its highly doubtful that Ron Paul wold win the nomination. And its not very likely Gingrich will win. But maybe the rest of the GOP voters who have NOT spoken will have a different opinion of who should be the nominee. And maybe they will push for a brokered convention. No one knows.

But apparently the Democrats and the President know who is going to be the nominee in the November General Election. They are all set to "go to battle" against Romney.

It is this kind of attitude that has disenfranchised so many millions of Americans - Republican, Democrat, Independent, etc - and caused voter apathy. I am so sick and tired of our elected officials discounting me and ignoring my concerns. Aren't you?

I think that all those Democrats who "say" they are tired of Obama ignoring them should write in Hillary. I think that all those GOP voters who don't think they even need to go to the polls - because the powers that be KNOW who they SHOULD vote for - should get out there and vote for Ron Paul. Just to let the establishment know how peeved we are.

Anyway, agree or disagree, it only matters to me that you stop letting them walk all over us. STOP BEING SHEEP and think for yourselves. AVOID THE SPIN they are trying to shove down your throats and let them know you won't be bullied or discounted or ignored anymore. Either way, this is just me Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

5 Reason I wish Obama had a REAL opponent in November

Here is a list of FIVE reasons I wish Barack Obama had a REAL opponent in the November elections. (I don't believe that ANY of those running have a chance in hell of beating Obama because the President's liberal followers, those who only follow him because of race and those who follow him because of misplaced guilt are too numerous and the GOP doesn't have anyone who inspires those who feel defeated already to vote in November.)

1) He comments, nationally, on the Trayvon Martin story, igniting even more racial tension in a highly controversial case . . . yet remains completely silent on the disgusting treatment by a union officla causing a female representative to leave office.

2) He thinks its okay to use the White House, his position as a sitting president and dinner to lure people into giving money to his campaign. Not because its a ploy to get donators . . . hell they all use their "celebrity" status to do that. No, its because he is using the White House (which WE own, not him) and he is using the Presidency (again, which WE own, not him) to get people to donate money to his re-election campaign. This is just sleazy. And what's worse, no one is challenging him on it. Hell, no one has even answered my questions on this.

3) He has no concept on how to create jobs. And I don't fault him on not knowing everything. No President can know everything. Which is why they have advisors who are experts in their fields to advise him. But this nimrod of a President doesn't even surround himself with real experts on job creation. He thinks he has to "educate" us on his "vision." And he has people who have never created in their life, are felling guilty about being rich and/or only teach things (in other words, the academia elite who know nothing about the real world).

4) He really believes Obamacare . . . OOPS . . . Healthcare Reform is a good thing. And while I don't disagree that "healthcare reform' is important, his healthcare reform is so NOT! I mean it is NOT about health, its NOT about care and its NOT about reform in any meaningful way. It IS about CONTROL! It IS about POWER! It IS about paving the way for a SINGLE PAYOR SYSTEM! (Which no matter how you slice it IS socialism.) SOme things in there - I guess they happened by accident - are good things. Like addressing the reality of family life today where children are staying at home longer but still need affordable heath insurance. But where is the real reform about tort (which would lower doctor expenses and thus doctor costs)? Or how allowing companies and individuals to cross state lines to buy insurance (which would help self employed, small businesses, and low income workers to get affordable rates - honestly, this one is a whole post to itself, so I will stop here. if you don't see the benefits of this one, comment me and I will explain)? No Obama is about POWER, CONTROL and SOCIALISM (and I mean that in the societal sense not the political, so don't scream that I am calling the man socialist)! He is about doing what he thinks is right even if we (oh the little children we are to his grown-up-ness) don't want it.

5) As outlined above, I think his arrogance, expressed again and again, as well as his contempt of the average American is deplorable. Many a President has sat in that office and believed himself better than the people he "served." But Obama actually walks and talks and acts on this belief of his that he is more knowledgeable, smarter, and better suited to run our lives than we are. And this is something that I simply cannot tolerate.

There are more reasons why I wish there was someone, ANYONE, who could go up against Obama and win in November. I think there have been some who could have done it, but the left, the Democrats and the media have gone out of their way to sour the general populace against those people. Can't have a real opponent out there who could do something for this country and undo the damage he has done in the last three years (gods, imagine what damage he will do this year and in four more where he won't even care about re-elections?). I didn't even really go into all the times he embarrassed this country with his apologies and bowing and demurring to other countries. I didn't go into ALL the racial divisiveness he has fostered with his words and sicking his nose into situations the President's nose has not right being. I didn't even go into the ways he has insulted the average American. Nor did I even bother to mention his complete LACK of presence in many situations where his nose really did belong.

I didn't want to overwhelm you OR me.

But I know there will be those who don't agree. Those who think I am overstating the case. Those who just think I am a "mean man" who doesn't like their President because I am . . . oh no you don't - you are not labeling ME with your poor excuses because you don't have an argument against me . . . well, lets just say there are those out there who will read this (only because someone wnated to get your goat and made you read it) and just not agree with me. You might say that they DISAGREE with me.

Yeah, okay, you can disagree with me. Or you can agree with me. That is not really the point of this blog. I don't want you to simply agree or disagree with me. I want you to listen to what I have to say and THINK about it. If you disagree because you truly came to this opinion on your own - Great! But I want you to STOP BEING SHEEP and AVOID THE SPIN out there! God (or your creator or divine providence or simply the universe or happenstance) gave you a brain. USE IT! It doesn't matter to me if you agree or not. If I get you to think for yourself, I have accomplished what I strive for. but heck, this is just me, after all, Thinking Out Loud!

Have a great day.

Politicians and family values? Seriously??

Okay, I just have one question. How can ANY politician or political Party talk about family values with a straight face?

I mean, anyone who thinks this is possible is seriously delusional.

“If Newt wins, we won’t be able to make family values an issue in the general.” This is a quote from an evangelical leader.

As if ANYONE in politics can make family values an issue. Even if you think you know about a politician, or a party, the next thing you know someone is talking about open marriages or affairs or a gay thing or a child porn thing or some fetish that makes your skin crawl. Or there is divorce or other marital issues that come to light after - sometimes YEARS after - you elect them.

So let us just take the issue of family values or honesty or trust completely out of the picture. Because you can be assured of none of these from ANY politician. You can make it an issue if YOU want, but don't expect to be able to hitch a ride on any political apron strings. Or at least your SHOULDN'T hitch a ride on any political apron strings.

Evangelicals are (mostly) nice people, who really do want the country to do well. But they just delude themselves with politicians. Throwing your entire group support behind a politician or political party is ludicrous. Well meaning, but ludicrous.

Fortunately, the evangelical leadership is throwing a wet blanket as opposed to a brick filled sack. This is because it seems that only the leadership (and the few fanatics who think they are infallible) trusts politicians to be faithful, decent, trustworthy. Most of the evangelicals in the "real world" understand the worldly ways of politics and politicians.

Unfortunately, the few "fanatics" that join forces with the leadership have a LOT of money and a LOT of influence. So what they say and do as far as political support will garner a lot of press and momentum for whoever they throw it behind. Be it Santorum or someone else.

Agree or disagree, tell me politicians as self serving scum or there really ARE decent politicians at the national level - it makes no difference to me. What does matter is that I get you to really look at the issues, look at the history, look at the records, and THINK for yourself. Stop being SHEEP and following whatever the "leadership" of whatever grouping you belong to TELL you what to think. but heck, this is just me, THINKING OUT LOUD.

Have a great day.

What do they have to hide?

I know the Democrats have a lot to hide this Primary season. But what is the media hiding? Why are they STILL playing favorites when it comes to Obama.

In South Carolina, the SC Democratic Party decided NOT to hold a Primary in 2012. What they decided to do was hold elections during their party reorganization meetings between now and the end of March. Of course Dick Harpootlian will say it is because of the expense. But thats not very open and democratic of them. And the only way to find this information out was by going to the SC Elections website.

No media is interested in how Obama is doing in the Democratic Primaries. I mean, here is the sitting president with "no opposition" in the Primary and he only got 82% of the vote in New Hampshire. (There is no way of knowing how many votes he got from the Iowa Caucus because those numbers aren't available anywhere.

But the mainstream media only seems to be interested in reporting the GOP races.

Why? Wouldn't the people like to know that the Democratic Party is not as "unified" as they would have you believe? Don't you think they would be interested in knowing that if Hillary were on the ballot, Obama would have a RACE on his hands? I mean, there are states and districts all across the country where Hillary would actually BEAT Obama at the polls.

But where is the media on any of this. Asleep at the wheel and STILL a tool of the Democratic Party and the "Yes We Can" front man, President Obama himself.

I not only demand that the Democratic Party open this information up instead of hiding in the shadows of their slick and deceptive leadership. And I chastise the media for not standing up in the role as the Fourth Estate. They squander their privilege as the watchdogs of government for the people and maintain their "need' for access to the current powers that be. That is a sad excuse, as they should neither be influenced nor controlled by ANY governing body, because they are the people's eyes and ears within that said body politics.

(For those of you unfamiliar with the idea of the 'fourth estate,' it was considered a separate body to watch over and advise the other three main groups within government. Its current position as the eyes and ears of the people came from Edmund Burke and others during his time. They promoted the idea that the media (which they referred to journalist as a professional group, or editors of papers - but with today's diverse media of radio, television and internet, is any news reporter) is the watchdogs of government, being only beholden to their readers. Unswayed by who was in power, as those individuals were transient and served by the will of the people, they (media) are free to shed the light of truth and public scrutiny on those politicians and elected officials, so that the people could stay informed of how those they elected governed.

Without an unbiased and unswayed media, the people have no advocate to keep watch over their interests. And today more and more politicians fail to realize they govern only by the will of the people. So today, more than ever, we need the media to NOT abdicate their responsibilities.)

Agree with me that the Democrats are hiding the growing unpopularity of their President by those in his own Party or that the media has abdicated their responsibilities, or disagree with me on any and all topics discussed here. Either way, it makes no difference to me. All I ask is that it be YOU who agree or disagree, and not that someone TOLD you to agree or disagree with me. I just ask that you look at all the points I make and THINK about it. Think for yourself and don't be SHEEP. If you do that, than I consider my job well done. But hey, this is, after all, just me Thinking Out Loud.

Have yourself a great day.

Why don't you write more often?

Okay, I get this question from time to time. And it is a valid one. Because, heck, you know I have a lot to say.

But here is the thing. I have to make a living. That is part of the bottom line. The other part, which is pretty much related to the first part, is that I don't want this blog to get a rep as just some lame spouting off of gripes.

What I mean by that is, I want to not only let you know what is REALLY happening so you can make an informed decision without relying on all the SPIN that is out there, I want you to have ACCURATE information so you can make those truly informed decisions.

I am not one of those talking head types, that will spout off the latest and greatest SPIN from their side and TELL you what to think. I actually want you to think for yourself. In order to do that, I want to give you the real deal. I want to offer you sources to look stuff up yourself, and then THINK FOR YOURSELF, instead of just regurgitating what all the HIGHLY paid political consultants (i.e. THE SPIN DOCTORS). And that includes me. I don't want you to just take my word for things.

Which means I need to know what the hell I am talking about in the first place.

I did this with the old version of this blog (same name, different web location). And it is what I did when I published the book (Thinking Out Loud - The Book). I added, researched and made available all the resources I based my rants on. So you can look them up. Even four years later. Because I want you to avoid the SPIN this time around.

And all this takes time. Sometimes time I do not have since I am trying to make money to pay the bills. I have my Examiner articles to write. I am trying to write more for ImperfectParent.com so they don't fire me. I am working with clients in the real world doing media blitzes and PR and press releases and blog stuff associated with my business (Reynolds Publishing Company). Plus I am working on some more e-Books (Catharsis is now out in eBook-land - KOBO and soon Barnes & Noble), with fingers crossed people will actually buy them.

Anyway, not to leave this as all about me, me , me . . . but it is, you know. Just kidding. I will leave you with a few thoughts.

The lowering unemployment numbers the President, press and liberal SPIN miesters are all touting do not tell the true story about unemployment in America.

The truth is halfway between what they are saying and what the other side is saying. Jobs are slowly coming back. Mostly because business is getting tired of waiting for Washington to stop farting around with this legislation and that new tax schedule. They are doing what business does, taking a risk and expanding or re-hiring or whatever they need to do to succeed.

But also there is still millions out there without jobs going on three years now. Their unemployment benefits (which truly cannot last forever no matter what the Dems and libs want - and I know of what I speak because I am one who never even received unemployment all this time since Nov '09) are running out but still have no jobs. So they are turning to the next government option. They are applying for social security disability insurance. Like these people in Ohio. 21,200 claims this year. Even the Huffington Post has recognized this trend to use social security disability as the new unemployment benefits.

So all those people who tout the dropping numbers from the unemployment rolls are not telling you that the numbers filing claims (and over taxing a system not meant to handle this many claims) are on the rise.

Well, I was going to rant on about ENDORSEMENTS being nothing but a job application and not something you should take seriously, even if you like the person is making the endorsement. Because they are only doing it to INFLUENCE your vote and thus get themselves a new government job with the new President or whatever. Seriously, what should you care about who THEY are going to vote for? Voting is both a personal thing and BIG responsibility. You know, like Jim DeMint (R-SC) endorsing Newt or Mitt or whoever. None of the GOP candidates would fall into his acceptance (given his past record and public views). But if he endorses someone, then he is SELLING out for a new job. not for your benefit. So, if I were to talk about this ENDORSEMENT thing, I'd say DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!

Anyway, as usual, agree or disagree with me. (But maybe buy my eBooks so I can spend more time here - I like it here.) It (the agreeing or disagreeing thing) doesn't matter to me either way. SO long as I get you to think for yourselves and AVOID THE SPIN, then I have done my job. Stop being sheep and following people who have no interest in YOUR best interest, only theirs. But heck, this is just me, Thinking out Loud.

Have a great day.

Independent write-in candidates begin for the 2012 election cycle

Every election cycle for President of the United States, numerous write-in candidates make a run for the office. Not backed by any party and not famous, these people have limited resources and very little news coverage.

But this season, I am making a prediction.

Glenda Sturkie will become a household name. Not only because the internet will play a huge factor in the campaigning of ALL the candidates, but yours truly intends to make it so.

In this vein, I want all of your, not just my readers in the US but my readers all around the world, to follow my Examiner page and pass along any story where I mention Ms Sturkie. Let us give a voice to someone who is patriotic but doesn't have the deep pockets of Obama, Bachmann, Gingrich, et al. The Presidency should not be bought. If it was, many great Presidents of the past would never have been elected.

We will begin with an interview I conducted with Glenda and keep going from there throughout the elections. Which are really going to begin fully in August. (That is when everyone will be declared and still viable, and folks will be back from summer vacation.)

If you believe in true democracy, or if you just like screwing with the MSM (Main Stream Media) and fat cat politicians alike, then lets get this thing going full speed.

Have a great day and VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

I'm back . . . and the weird keeps coming

Unbelieveable. A website company that makes specialty dolls that are topical just came out with an Anthony Weiner doll. You get a version that is (i guess) family friendly. For ten bucks more you get one that is anatomically correct and for another $18 you can get a toy blackberry to go with it. Guess the anatomically correct expense is less than the amount to make the blackberry. Does that say anything about size? Guess it just says that people are pretty sad when it comes to this type of shame inside the beltway. This is really low. Can you imagine if they come out with a monica Lewinsky doll that said something silly like "My knees bend" right on the box . . . oh, wait. Awww, that was just soemthing funny someone thought up. I mean no one would make fun of the Clinton / Lewinsky scandal like that . . . or would they?

Its not so much the American obsession with the Weiner scandal (come on, the name just screams for the jokes), but it is the Main sleaze Media's obsession with it. It is unbelievable the number of news outlets that made this scandal story one. Breaking news. Headlining the news. Tonight's top story. And the topic of numerous "exclusive." Truly despicable when considering all the things that need our attention, and this is what they find newsworthy. I guess we should just be glad Weiner was not cut from the same jock strap as Australian politician Troy Buswell, who also refused to quit when his odd sexual scandal came out.

Okay, this weird one is old (about a year and a half), but it popped up in my scanning so I had to share. As the ecstasy about the election of President Obama died down a bit, police in the tiny town of Palmview, TX found custom made drugs (balck tar heroine and ecstasy) in the shape of President Obama. (They were also in the shape of Homer Simpson, but you know . . . they were for druggies. DOH!) I guess since the thrill of the election was turning south, some people may have needed a pick me up. Oh well.

And on the Obama front news, the first family is okay with dad Barack only serving one term as President. Well, we wouldn't want to disappoint them, now would we. If only the Republican field had some much better choices.

The huge brouhaha of the Sarah Palin emails has finally come to the light of day. Here is a scoop: The left and all the Palin-haters out there are just dying to find some dirt or scrap of scandal to hang out the former Alaska Governor . . . but are coming up not only short, but enhancing the possible GOP candidates likability and approval ratings. Even Jon Stewart realizes this is a bad tactic to pursue.

I love Stewart. Even as a conservative, I can really appreciate the humor and the slivers of truth in his comedy.

Top staff at the Newt Gingrich 2012 campaign left. Some are shocked. Some are glad. Some just want to have fun with the whole thing. But serious, Newt, you really can't think you have much of a chance, do you?

Anyway, this is some of the odd that has happened while I was away relaxing. Agree with me or not about this stuff, it doesn't matter. Just wanted to make you think about how we have to deal with all this nonsense from our government and what passes for news agencies these days. But heck, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.
