President Obama is so very clueless on many things. Unions and war are just two.
UNIONS
Because of his union boss support (not necessarily union MEMBER support), Obama is looking at where the money is coming from instead of where America is going to find jobs. Instead of stepping in (because he doesn't want to), Obama is letting the NLRB run rough shod over state's rights and worker's rights. Unless something illegal is being done (and I don't mean some theoretical revenge fantasy), then the NLRB has no right to tell states how they can create jobs, they have no right to tell companies where they can and cannot build their business units, and they shure as heck don't have the right to play patsy with union bosses who only whine when something goes NOT their way.
Boeing is the visible example of Obama's cluelessness about business, and his money / political motivations. After Boeing began building a new (not a replacement) facility in South Carolina, the union was mum. When employees were hired and they were part of the union, the union stayed quiet. But as soon as the workers (who were in their rights by all national and state standards) decided and voted to get rid of the union )so they could just do their jobs and get paid without having to lose part of that pay to union dues and have to worry about some union thug telling them they had to strike or do whatever) did the union cry foul. Only when their funnel of money dried up did they whine to the NLRB that Boeing was "retaliating" against them due to a previous strike, by opening this new facility to South Carolina.
The question to ask is why wait until the workers decide to oust the union? Why wait until they are no longer getting money to file a complaint? And why does Obama not step in and tell these (UNELECTED and ONLY ANSWERABLE TO HIM) NLRB nutjobs to back off? Most of the answers are obviouos. The last answer is two fold.
Because Obama has no clue how business works and jobs are created (he still thinks HE creates actual jobs), and because he doesn't want to risk his re-election funding. (Which is ironic as he says he doesn't care if he only serves one term. LIAR!)
WAR
I don't think I really have to explain how clueless the President is when it comes to war. But I will elucidate a few points.
I would prefer our men and women are not fighting and dying in some foreign country. I would prefer that the underlying issue for politicians (not civilians or military - their bottom line is security of America and Americans) were not money and oil. I would prefer that radical nut jobs stick to killing each other and let the world alone. I would prefer many things. But the fact is, we are at war. And as such, we have a responsibility to our national security and the well being of those that fight for us and along side us. Among those responsibilities are not encouraging our enemy, not giving vital intelligence about the movement and intentions to our enemies, not making confusing statements to our military and allies, not denigrating our country nor allies nor military, and most assuredly not outlining what we are going to do next. War is fought to win. One side or the other wins and those who are dead, destroyed or affected - lose. It is that simple. If you do not win, you lose. If you do not intend to go for a win, you do not go to war. (And I am not just talking about the wars from the previous Administration - Libya is a war if we are attacking, destroying and killing people in another country.)
Which leaves the President clueless or delusional about war. In Afghanistan, we continue until we and the Afghans are safe. If that means until the enemy is completely destroyed or until the Afghans can handle it themselves. That is a win. Anything else is a loss. And a loss to these fanatical jackals would only encourage them. In Libya, either do the business or get off the pot. Because right now, it is a war. Just as the terrorist declared war on the USA, Obama and the allies declared war on the sitting government by their actions.
AMERICA IS SPECIAL
An email from the Human Events website quoted President Obama as saying "I believe in American Exceptionalism, just as I imagine that Greeks believe in Greek Exceptionalism and the British believe in British Exceptionalism."
The email went on to proclaim, "But as former Speaker of the House and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich points out, American Exceptionalism isn't about cheerleading for the home team. It's about recognizing and honoring the history-making, world-changing ideals that made America great — exceptionally great." However, I am reminded of a line from a popular movie a few years ago.
In The Incredibles, Helen (the mom) is telling Dash (the son) why he couldn't use his powers. He says that his dad says "our powers were nothing to be ashamed of, they make us special." To which his mom says "Everyone is special, Dash." Muttering under his breathe, Dash utters the phrase Obama seems to embrace. "Which is another way of saying no one is."
I understand there are things the President knows but the average citizen will never know. But there are so many things that no matter what the true situation is, no matter what secret special information that Obama knows, there are still so much that he is getting wrong . . . just from a common sense standpoint.
And this is where I have such an incredibly staggering frustration with not only the President, but also with the many politicians (who have other agendas) and the main stream media (who are so paranoid about losing access that they will subvert their very responsibility to keep it). When faced with a torrent of water coming at you, it just makes common sense to close the door, hold you breath and surface when it is safe. But to open the windows, turn on the faucets and yell real loud at the oncoming wave is just silly. And this is how Obama and his Administration approach every problem this country is facing.
Simply stated, in a word, clueless.
Agree with me, disagree with me, whisper to yourselves that somebody should call the men in the white suits (or black suits and glasses, whichever). It makes no difference to me. So long as I opened some eyes and get you to think for yourselves, I have done my job, done my best to contribute to the future of America. But heck, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.
Have a great day!~

Independent write-in candidates begin for the 2012 election cycle
Every election cycle for President of the United States, numerous write-in candidates make a run for the office. Not backed by any party and not famous, these people have limited resources and very little news coverage.
But this season, I am making a prediction.
Glenda Sturkie will become a household name. Not only because the internet will play a huge factor in the campaigning of ALL the candidates, but yours truly intends to make it so.
In this vein, I want all of your, not just my readers in the US but my readers all around the world, to follow my Examiner page and pass along any story where I mention Ms Sturkie. Let us give a voice to someone who is patriotic but doesn't have the deep pockets of Obama, Bachmann, Gingrich, et al. The Presidency should not be bought. If it was, many great Presidents of the past would never have been elected.
We will begin with an interview I conducted with Glenda and keep going from there throughout the elections. Which are really going to begin fully in August. (That is when everyone will be declared and still viable, and folks will be back from summer vacation.)
If you believe in true democracy, or if you just like screwing with the MSM (Main Stream Media) and fat cat politicians alike, then lets get this thing going full speed.
Have a great day and VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

Union Zombie boneheads
Here is what union boneheads did in front of Special Olympics winners.
Watch Video
Now I am all for Americans having the right to voice their opinion, even if I don't agree with their opinion. But come on, people. Let's have a little common sense and a little bit of a heart.
You want to protest? Fine, stand in the back with your signs. I mean, it is the cameras you want to get in front of, right? ALso, be a little bit more understanding of your surroundings when you decide to word those signs.
Does anyone with common sense really think crude language is appropriate around these innocent members of the Special Olympics community? Does anyone think it is right to ruin the special day of these determined athletes to get your little point across??
The GIANT BONEHEAD and MAJOR INSENSITIVITY AWARDS go to these union thugs and, well, union zombies for their disgraceful actions!
As usual, you can agree with me or disagree (though I think you are not such a nice person if you do disagree), but either way, its fine. Because my job is to get you to think outside the rhetoric of others and think for yourselves. No matter, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.
Have a great day! And congrats to all the Special Olympics participants throughout the US and the world! You all rock in my book!

Weiner and Vancover - two disasters
So, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is going to resign. Who did not see this coming?? I mean really, when you have members of your own party - members who themselves should have been kicked out long ago - demanding his resignation, you're pretty much sunk. And so are his plans on becoming the mayor of New York City. But, then again, this is NYC we are talking about. They might want him anyway.
No big surprise here. But I have to wonder why Pelosi wants Weiner to resign over this distasteful scandal while she stays in office after denigrating so many Americans who were voicing their opinions (which is the right of every American, Ms Nancy).
Speaking of distasteful scandals, come on Vancouver Canucks fans and residents, what the hell was that all about??!? I mean, I am from Philly and I know about disappointment and passionate fandom. But really, rioting??
When teams like those in Detroit win and fans go nuts causing all kinds of damage in their "enthusiasm" is bad enough. But to riot (a second time) when your team loses game seven of a playoff and thus the championship? You are sad, sad little people for all that nonsense. It is time to taker into perspective the really important things in life. Rioting because your government is murdering its citizens is reasonable. Taking to the street over racial and human rights barbarism is understandable (though violence is not really the answer there). But to freak out so badly because a sports team loses their try for a championship is ludicrous.
Canucks fans should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Vancouver residents should be ashamed. Canadiens need to reflect on what is important. Family, friends, health, faith, life and so many other things should take precedence over a stupid thing as a sporting event.
Shame on you Weiner, shame on you "San Fran Nan" Pelosi and shame on you rioters in vancouver.
As usual, agree or disagree. Do skin off my nose. Just as long as you use that grey matter between your ears and think, I have done my job. Either way, this is just me, Thinking out Loud.
Have a great, safe and blessed day.

I'm back . . . and the weird keeps coming
Unbelieveable. A website company that makes specialty dolls that are topical just came out with an Anthony Weiner doll. You get a version that is (i guess) family friendly. For ten bucks more you get one that is anatomically correct and for another $18 you can get a toy blackberry to go with it. Guess the anatomically correct expense is less than the amount to make the blackberry. Does that say anything about size? Guess it just says that people are pretty sad when it comes to this type of shame inside the beltway. This is really low. Can you imagine if they come out with a monica Lewinsky doll that said something silly like "My knees bend" right on the box . . . oh, wait. Awww, that was just soemthing funny someone thought up. I mean no one would make fun of the Clinton / Lewinsky scandal like that . . . or would they?
Its not so much the American obsession with the Weiner scandal (come on, the name just screams for the jokes), but it is the Main sleaze Media's obsession with it. It is unbelievable the number of news outlets that made this scandal story one. Breaking news. Headlining the news. Tonight's top story. And the topic of numerous "exclusive." Truly despicable when considering all the things that need our attention, and this is what they find newsworthy. I guess we should just be glad Weiner was not cut from the same jock strap as Australian politician Troy Buswell, who also refused to quit when his odd sexual scandal came out.
Okay, this weird one is old (about a year and a half), but it popped up in my scanning so I had to share. As the ecstasy about the election of President Obama died down a bit, police in the tiny town of Palmview, TX found custom made drugs (balck tar heroine and ecstasy) in the shape of President Obama. (They were also in the shape of Homer Simpson, but you know . . . they were for druggies. DOH!) I guess since the thrill of the election was turning south, some people may have needed a pick me up. Oh well.
And on the Obama front news, the first family is okay with dad Barack only serving one term as President. Well, we wouldn't want to disappoint them, now would we. If only the Republican field had some much better choices.
The huge brouhaha of the Sarah Palin emails has finally come to the light of day. Here is a scoop: The left and all the Palin-haters out there are just dying to find some dirt or scrap of scandal to hang out the former Alaska Governor . . . but are coming up not only short, but enhancing the possible GOP candidates likability and approval ratings. Even Jon Stewart realizes this is a bad tactic to pursue.
I love Stewart. Even as a conservative, I can really appreciate the humor and the slivers of truth in his comedy.
Top staff at the Newt Gingrich 2012 campaign left. Some are shocked. Some are glad. Some just want to have fun with the whole thing. But serious, Newt, you really can't think you have much of a chance, do you?
Anyway, this is some of the odd that has happened while I was away relaxing. Agree with me or not about this stuff, it doesn't matter. Just wanted to make you think about how we have to deal with all this nonsense from our government and what passes for news agencies these days. But heck, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.
Have a great day.

Some time off
On the road the next couple of days to catch up with family and friends out of state.
But fear not, I will return to lambast some more politicians (Weiner, you wiener -- lame excuse and even lamer person -- don't deserve to be serving the people), roll my eyes at liberal hypocrisy (too many to mention, but lets just say Pelosi and Schultz -- ironically, both misogynist) and call the POTUS on whatever dumb thing he does (when Ryan told him to stop demagoguery and start leading, Obama whines that 'you guys won't listen to anything I put out there anyway' whine whine whine -- I think Mr President needs to learn what demagoguery means) next week.
As always, agree with me or disagree, but I am taking this time off anyway. Just kidding, you can agree or disagree with my stands (which I make no bones about them being conservative ones) on things. It really makes no matter to me personally, so long as I get you to think for yourselves. Because, hey, this is just me Thinking Out Loud.
Have a great day and a greater weekend. Maybe I'll see a few of you on the road. (Except my readers across the pond and elsewhere in the world. Because if I see you on the road that would just be odd.)
