Hate beating a dead horse but . . .

Okay, they are still at it. Therefore, so am I.

Another email about women not being included in the healthcare thing. This time from Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY). She cries out that "She was there" in her subject line of the email.

Well, first, I would HOPE she was there. She is in Congress. That is where her job is. If she wasn't there, then she would be absent from her job. Most of us would be fired if we were absent from our jobs. And if we announced to everyone that we were "at our jobs" then people might begin to wonder why this was news.

But that being neither here nor there, the point I want to make here is this: Where was Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney of NY when Congress denied the Tea Party group who were to speak before Congress? Not only were they denied the venue AFTER being told they would have it, they were not even told until the day of. And the press was sent in the opposite direction of these Americans whose voice has been mocked and silenced and denigrated by a Democratic leD Congress on a DAILY basis.

Just another example of their hypocrisy and their audacity (yes, I went there) telling us all about it.

Before I get a ton of email about being insensitive to the cause, as I said last week, I don't think this is right not to allow American voices on issues that concern them. But this should be true of ALL American voices, not just the ones that will get them elected next time around.

Agree, disagree, it makes no difference. Just stop listening to these cretins. AVOID THE SPIN! STOP BEING SHEEP! And think for yourself. That is all I ask. Anyway, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

Jaw dropping hypocrisy

I have been pretty vocal about my opposition to politicians in general. Yes, I am a conservative American. And yes, I often slam the liberal or Democrat view. But I think I have let it be known that I am opposed to ANY politician who SPINS and lies and just takes the American people as stupid.

But I have to do a Jaw Drop on the recent Democratic Party hypocrisy. NOt that their message is any less valid. But the fact that not only are the Dems showing their stripes, but they have famous SPINners doing it for them.

Come on. WHo the hell is going to believe a word out of James Carville's mouth. I can't believe that even Democrats in the general population can say they believe or even listen to anything this lying sack has to say. But then I forget. These nimwits keep voting these lame asses in govetrnment, so how smart can they be as a wghole right?

But seriously, James Carville, repeating a Pelosi email, has one going out with his name all over it.

"Have you been watching all these Republican men telling women what to do with their health care?

Last week it was a Congressional panel on women’s health with five men and no women. This week, it was the GOP presidential candidates debating what women should and shouldn’t be allowed to do with their own health care choices.

This Republican War on Women has got to come to a stop. My friends at the DCCC want to hit $1 million in grassroots donations before the February FEC deadline to show these Republicans that we won’t let them get away with this nonsense"

Begging for money bootstrapped onto outrage at how the "Republicans and GOP candidates are treating women in discussion of healthcare." . . . .

Okay, have to take a breath now because this is making me want to scream and swear. SO I will do a list. That usually calms me down.

List of Hypocrisies

1) Nancy Pelosi decided to pass rules as soon a the DEMS took over the House so that there would be NO Republican voice in legislation. - Which also meant no AMERICAN voice being represented by those same Republicans. So, Queen Nancy effectively cut off half of America. Toook away their voice in government.

2) "You must pass it to see what's in it" Healthcare Legislation. Obama and Pelosi and Reid made a complete SHAMBLES out of American healthcare, stealing ALL our voices by not having more revelation about this 1900 page monstrosity of a legislation. Legislation which did not FIX any health care problems in this country and had as its sole goal to make universal, government run, single payor healthcare the next step. - They stole all of our rights on this one. Some of the things in there were part of what we wanted as a country, most of it wasn't. And the things that would have made good, affordable healthcare possible, were IGNORED by the Democrats in power.

3) President "I need to get out there so I can explain it better" Obama thinks Americans are stupid. On every issue that we oppose, he just wants us to think he isn't explaining it enough. So he just keeps talking. All President talk a lot, you might say. But he is talking so much he is NOT Listening.

4) Democrats and liberals have been plastering the airways and getting the media on their bandwagon (mostly with threats of loss of access if they don't play along) with the complete BULL . . . okay, not swearing here . . . complete nonsense that if you disagree with the President or if you don't like his policies or just plain don't like him you are a R-A-C-I-S-T! - I can't even go on with this line of thought because it makes me so mad.

Time and time again, in the last three years, these hypocritical have done everything they can to silence those who object to their actions, question their motives and refuse to back down from their threats and insinuations. And they still have the gall to complain when others seem to be doing similar things. AND THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO ASK FOR MONEY from the hard working people of America to fight these "injustices."

Wait a minute!

Don't we already pay these charlatans to do just that?!?! Isn't it their JOBS to see to it that people are not cut out of the legislative and governing process??!?!??

UN-BE-LIEVABLE!

Before I go, I just want to say, for the record, that there should be a representative grouping of those affected by legislation to be present during all aspects of that legislation's life cycle.

Agree, disagree, it doesn't matter. Just don't take a middle of the road approach to this sort of thing. Just don't take the word from those who could really care less about you. AVOID THE SPIN! STOP BEING SHEEP! Think for yourselves. Look at everything, mull the facts around in your head (the facts, not the SPIN), and come up with your own thoughts on these things. Don't even take my word as gospel. Look it up. Read on it. Think about it. That's all I ask. But, no matter. This is just me, as always, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

Should I translate the Book?

Just a question for all of you out there who are reading this blog.

There is an increase in eBook sales around the world. Should I translate Thinking Out Loud - The Book into other languages? Is there an interest among you for that?

Let me know and I will look into it.

Anyway, I will post later in the day about what new insanity is going on.

STOCK Act stock answer to government's moral failures

Once again our elected officials go above and beyond the call of duty. No really, they go above [the law] and beyond [all moral credibility].

STOCK Act, H.R. 1148, is the Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge Act. It tries to keep Congressional members from using their insider knowledge to buy and sell stocks.

My initial and less than thought out response to this is [fist pumping] “YEA!”

But when I took a few seconds to actually think about this, I said to myself, “Huh?”

This is a morally unthinkable thing that is happening. Our Congressional members, their families and friends are doing what, in the real world, would be punishable by hundreds of thousands of dollars and actual prison time. Something that they know they should not be doing. Yet do it anyway. And now that it has been exposed, they want to create new legislation – legislation that already exists for the rest of us – and hail themselves as some kind of heroes to the people.

But that can't be the end of it for our government representatives. They have to amend and expand and add upon this legislation – this law that would mean they must follow laws like the rest of us – and make it bigger, grander, more expansive.

Section 6 of the House bill would require financial analyst register as lobbyist. This is a copy of the amendment introduced in the Senate by Sen. Grassley (R-IA). Financial analyst regularly – in the performance of their jobs – communicate with members of Congress about upcoming legislation that may impact the stock market and their clients. They do NOT lobby. They gather information and then are able to advise their clients – you know, us – about the possible impact of upcoming legislation. These are the guys who find out if Congress is going to pass a law that, say, restricts how much pretax stock you can buy in your 401k, lets us know and then we don't get screwed at tax time.

It is almost like Congress, caught with its hand in the cookie jar, wants to get someone else – who hasn't done anything wrong – in trouble, too. They can't just “man up” and say “sorry, America, we've been bad boys” and let already existing laws deal out their punishment. No, they want to craft new laws, all the while not getting punished for breaking the ones in place.

And they want to act like, “oh look how great we are for protecting the public from our lying, cheating asses.” They want you to see all their chest thumping and admire their strength to stand up for what is right. Yet the whole time they are squirming, finagling, dancing the proverbial sidestep, avoiding the consequences of their illegal actions. AND writing even MORE laws that are covered by OLD laws.

We need them to be moral, responsible, grown up representatives of the people. You know, the JOB we voted them in office for in the first place. While they do this wasted chest thumping, we're starving out here. While they hide in the ivory columned walls of DC, we struggle with real issues that have real consequences. While they argue who is the best candidate or the best President or the best whatever, we go from the shining city on a hill to the darkened alley in the slum.

I don't think that Lincoln or Reagan or Washington or Jefferson or any of those figures from our past that the politicians quote so often, would really be proud of the job ANY of them are doing.

I have always said that there are a few good people in Congress and we should concentrate on just weeding out the scum. But at this point, they ALL have to go. And with the clean sweep of the halls of power in DC, we need to add the fresh air of term limits. If these jackals only have so many years to do the job, maybe they would do the job and stop lining their own pockets and stop worrying about their upcoming re-election and stop mucking about in the cesspool of self interest. Maybe they would go back to the idea that they represent us and are all about serving the public.

You may disagree with any of all of my assertions above. Most likely you never got past the same initial response I had and thought about it for a few seconds. You may agree wholeheartedly with everything I have said here. But either way, I am not looking for your agreements. I am looking for your to think for a few seconds. I want you to read about what is going on and form an opinion – YOUR opinion – and not that of the politicians, SPIN doctors or talking heads. Hell, I don't even want you to take MY word for anything. But just STOP BEING SHEEP and learn to AVOID THE SPIN! With every right comes a responsibility. The rights granted you by the Constitution come with the responsibility to be active in the government “of the people, for the people, by the people.”

But hey, this is just me, after all, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

Keystone XL asks "Who is in charge?"

Keystone XL Pipeline would bring over a million barrels of crude a day to the U.S. - nearly tripling the current supply from Canada – and almost 400,000 jobs.

The government under President Obama has said there are “issues” that must be resolved. Excpet his own agencies have given the okay for the pipeline deal, said there was no environmental impact and found the jobs growth acceptable. But the President and his Administration apparently has not read those reports.

So why the delay? Is it because the pipeline is an unknown quantity? Phase I was completed in 2010 and Phase II in 2011. Bringing over 500,000 barrels a day. It is in operation now. The barrels of crude and jobs the XL deal would bring are ADDITIONAL to existing ones. So it is not an unknown quantity.

Are there environmental issues that would bring unknown dangers? The State Department says there would be no significant environmental risks. So that one is off the table.

Or is it? The State Department, on January 18, 2012, sent a letter advising the President to deny the permits to build. Why? They stated issues with the Sand hills portion of the pipeline. This, however, is in contradiction to their analysis (“EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Final Environmental Impact Statement
for the Proposed Keystone XL Project”). On page 13, the Department of State determined that any spill would be minimal, not affect more than a localized area and Keystone agreed to all the clean-up and financial impact to residents if one did occur.

One must wonder who is running the show in Washington these days. If the Department of State can reverse their decision, and advise the President to deny a permit that would help us toward less dependency on Middle Eastern oil AND bring 400,000 jobs to a desperate economy, who is in charge? Surely not the President. He is letting the DoS tell him what to do without question. And certainly not the Department of State, as they are reversing their own decision. So who is telling them to do it?

This is, as many would argue, a very complex issue. And should not be dealt with lightly. And I would absolutely agree.

However, it is an issue that has been kin the works since 2008. that is nearly FOUR years of determinations and analysis and surveys and legislative issues and God only knows what else. (Trade discussions, market research, et al) And it boils down to the Department of State issuing a decision in opposition to their own studies. And a President that doesn't even know what is what and allows a department within his own government to tell him what to do – which he does, without question – on a decision that will impact our country, our economy and our security.

Something is just not kosher with this set up.

Meanwhile, American suffer. Tyrants and madmen dictate our security. And Congress argues about whether it is right or not for them to use insider information to get richer. And politicians argue who has better family values, who has the neatest hair and who is more politically sensitive than who.

For crying out loud!

All these putzes have to go. We need leadership that thinks of America first. And yes, I mean the people in the Supreme Court – Justice Ginsberg, you heard me – too. We also need all you morons out there – who continue to just regurgitate the rhetoric fed to your by people who really could care less about you in order to get themselves more money, more power and power influence – off the voter registration rolls. I know I have been an advocate of everyone deserving the right to vote. But remember, I have also always said it and Uncle Ben told Peter, “with great power [the right to vote] comes great responsibility [the effort to understand what you are voting for].”

Agree or disagree, I don't care. Just think about it before you agree or disagree. Know what it is you are agreeing or disagreeing with me about. STOP BEING SHEEP! AVOIOD THE SPIN! (I swear I am getting bumper stickers made soon.) Think for yourself, for crying out loud. Either way, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

Egypt Constitution not for Ginsburg to discuss

There seems to be a bit of an uproar in the conservative community about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's comments to an Egyptian television station.

Seems Justice Ginsburg did not extoll the value and virtue of the US Constitution to the middle eastern country who is seeking a new one. When asked what type of government Egypt should look to in when rebuilding their country, Ginsburg said "“I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.”

As much as I hate to disagree with Rep. Bachmann (R-MN) - okay you can stop laughing - I will have to do so here, on this point.

In a "diary" article posted on Erik Erickson's RedState website, Rep. Bachmann states "I am deeply saddened and disappointed in Justice Ginsburg’s answer. As a Supreme Court Justice who daily delves into the U.S. Constitution looking for answers to the nation’s top cases, I would hope she would have developed a love for this crucial founding document. Yet instead, she implied its irrelevancy! Why would our Constitution not be just as good a foundation for a nation’s government today as it was in 1788?"

I must say, I think the U. S. Constitution is a beautiful document. It is a magnificent example of words being used in the finest light. And it has been a cornerstone and benchmark for America to be proud of. It was a document, unlike any at the time, which allowed for future tuning without losing its basic fundamentals.

And I must also say, for the record, that I think any country that truly looks to the Constitution as guidance can not be served any better for an example.

BUT - and I mean this with all the love and compassion for my fellow human beings around the world - these nitwits and twits and thick headed illiterates could never truly grasp the fundamental and founding concepts of the U. S. Constitution. Hell, there are tens of millions of Americans who fail to grasp it. Including, ESPECIALLY, most of our political leaders. And I would rather they not say they are framing their document based on ours because they will get all the essentials wrong, blame us for their failures and have even more weapons and ammunition (imagined, of course) to use in their campaigns of hate and violence.

Back to Ginsburg for a moment. While the right wing (and I use that here instead of conservative, because there is a difference) is upset, the left - like Media Matters - is "freaking" at what they say is the "freak out" by the right. But here is the thing. Ginsburg both misspoke and should not have even been in the conversation.

As a member of a body that is supposed to measure all US law through the prism of the US Constitution, she should phrase her comments through that prism as well. The US Constitution IS relevant - to the US. It is NOT relevant to those who do not understand it nor to those who, at their very core, despise it. But the question was one of what type of government, not what type of constitution they should have. She was right that they need to form one that reflects their country and their needs, just as our founding fathers did. She was wrong not to express the core foundation of the US Constitution, which would be relevant to any freedom loving people.

As always, you are free to agree or disagree with my assertions here. But don't form your views through what I say, through what Rep. Bachmann or RedState or Media Matters or ANYONE else for that matter. You need to stop listening to the SPIN of those who wish to control what and how you think. You need to STOP BEING SHEEP. And think for yourselves. But, whatever, this is just me Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

I told you about this

You know, I told you all about this a long time ago. And I included it in my book, Thinking Out Loud - The Book. But here are others, better late than never, who are confirming some things I already told you.

Secret Weapon is just more proof that I am at the forefront of some of the leading news of the day.

So why aren't more people following me? Because they would rather listen to the SPIN of those who lead us. They would rather just be SHEEP and let those who would ruin this country continue on this trend.

Agree or not, just STOP BEING SHEEP and think for yourselves. Either way, this is just me, as usual, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day.

Unemployment dropping? REALLY?!

So, Obama and all the media pukes are rallying behind the numbers saying that the unemployment rate is dropping.

This gets me so mad. They way they play with numbers and lie right to our faces. I just want to scream! Because the average American will just go, "oh great, so what are the Republicans and Obama detractors yelling about?"

We are yelling because they are lying to your face and you are believing them.

God, stop being so stupid!

Here's a bit from Erik Erickson of Red State.

"The household survey says unemployment has fallen. Jobs are being created. A few days after American Airlines announced it would lay off 15,000 employees and other companies are laying off as well, the unemployment rate fell with new hires.

It is good news for Barack Obama, except not really.

The unemployment rate fell, but so did the number of people participating in the workforce. If those people were factored in, the unemployment rate would be 11 percent. In fact, people 55 years and older and people just entering the workforce are having a ridiculously hard time finding jobs.

We know this is so by the number of foreclosures in the country — which are still high. The household survey data suggests good news for Barack Obama's re-election prospects, but reality suggests otherwise. 70 percent of Americans, according to Rasmussen, know someone struggling to find a job. And these people will take it out on the incumbent. But there is a danger for the GOP. If the unemployment number keeps falling, they'll need a bigger platform than just claiming they can put people back to work. They will have to work hard to cut through the media noise cheerleading unemployment numbers that ignore those who've just given up on Obama's hope.

—Erick Erickson
"

Its the same thing I have been trying to tell you all for years. Unemployment rate so not mean what you think they mean. Instead of believing the government SPIN doctors, the politicians and the foolish media jerks like Keith Oberman. Talk to your family, friends and neighbors.

I bet you know at least one, if not MANY more who are out of work, unable to pay bills, being foreclosed on, can't find a job, can't get health coverage - can't even scrap up enough food for a decent meal each night.

Obama is lying. The media is lying (I say this because they can't be as stupid about this stuff as they let on). The SPIN doctors get PAID to lie to you.

Look out at the real world. Look at how it really is, instead of the LaLa Land THEY would describe for you.

We need to get all these liars out of office. We need to shut down all these media outlets who lie for a living instead of doing their jobs.

Agree with me or not. I honestly don't care. But at least STOP BEING SHEEP and look around you. THINK FOR YOURSELF! Don't even believe me, because I am human and have my own perspective on life (didn't have work for so long I went to work for myself). You make up your own mind. After all, this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day. And support your local food pantry (money, food, time, whatever).
